Foam extinguishers are the ideal solution for incipient fires of fire classes A and B. As foam can be removed later almost without leaving any residue, it is ideal e.g. for living areas, sales areas or administrative areas.

Extinguishing effect

Due to their low specific density, water film-forming foam agents are able to form a closed vapour-tight and watery film on the surface of the burning material, even in the case of burning liquids. This barrier layer prevents the escape of vapours and gases. In this way, the oxygen supply to the burning material is cut off and the fire is smothered. In addition, foam has a cooling effect due to its water content. Of course, Jockel does not use foam concentrate with perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA). Instead, Jockel uses future-proof foam formulations with polyfluorinated surfactants based on C6 fluorotelomers.
