Powder extinguishers BC/BCK

Special solutions for industry and plant fire brigades

Overview

What are BC and BCK powder extinguishers?

BC and BCK powders have a very high purity due to their raw materials used.

BC extinguishing powder based on sodium bicarbonate is naturally free of heavy metals. Therefore, there is no need to fear environmental pollution from the extinguishing powder applied during extinguishing.

BCK extinguishing powder based on potassium bicarbonate has a greater and more efficient extinguishing effect than pure BC powder.

Since DIN EN 3 does not define a higher rating than 233 B for portable fire extinguishers, this important property cannot be seen directly on the extinguisher. Due to this difference in performance, especially chemical companies with plant fire brigades opt for extinguishers with BCK powder.

The Jockel modular system

The design of all Jockel fire extinguishers within a product family is almost identical. Many spare parts can be used for more than one type, e.g. tanks, draught-protection devices, CO2 cartridges. At the same time, only a few maintenance tools are needed. They can be used for several units. Therefore, Jockel fire extinguishers are not only particularly easy to maintain, but also economical.
