Specialist seminar on sprinkler maintenance

Companies that operate fire protection systems in their buildings are obliged to appoint a responsible company employee (sprinkler attendant) and a deputy in each case.

The Employer's Liability Insurance Association and the VdS CEA 4001 guideline require the sprinkler attendant to have a sound knowledge of the components and functions of the respective sprinkler or extinguishing system.

The sprinkler attendant carries out the necessary inspections of the extinguishing systems. These include daily visual inspections, regular tests of the alarm system, testing of the pump starting device and other relevant and important measures to ensure all functions.

In addition, the sprinkler attendant arranges for any necessary maintenance and repairs to be carried out. They also keep the operating log, which serves as proof for the insurance company in the event of damage.
